Supporters of the War on Drugs worry about the health and social impacts that drugs have and feel that penalties for drug offenses are appropriate or should be stricter. Opponents observe that the War on Drugs have had a limited impact on drug use, is racially biased, and should be replaced with less harsh penalties, or even steps towards decriminalization and legalization.
