==Description==
The variety and complexity of financial securities has increased dramatically in the past couple decades, which has introduced unknown risks into the world's economic system. Notably, these complicated securities were one of the factors that led to the housing bubble of the mid 2000's and the resulting credit crunch of 2008-2009. Supporters of increased Wall Street Regulation want these new securities to be more tightly regulated by the government to reduce systemic risk. Opponents feel that the market is capable of regulating these risks themselves.
